I’ve written about this question a few times. It actually led to one of my favourite stories I’ve written on Medium.
While attending a concert, I watched a guy in his 50s meet one of the bands performing that night. He was positively giddy and it contrasted sharply with the hardcore punk persona that he dressed as. He reminded me of a little kid, jumping for joy.
