I can vouch for this method!

So I used to work in a correspondence position about COVID-19. Sometimes we would have to call people to answer their questions and it would just be them reiterating misinformation and disinformation. Often times, that would just end up with them yelling at us.

This is the method we used to de-escalate. It works. When it doesn't, the call is ended and giving ample warnings.
