However, I'm a professional writer - a correspondence writer - but still a writer. I've also worked as a technical writer. These aren't usually what comes to mind when people think of a writer, but they're pretty lucrative and offer steady, regular income. There are a ton of writing careers out there that people have no idea even exist.
