This is a great saying and we should all try to avoid constant comparisons.

If musicians compared themselves to others all the time, we wouldn't have some of the music now. There are far too many people who just give up learning an instrument because they'll never be as good as someone else. They forget that if they like playing, then that's all that's needed.
